Mission Statement
Operation Jack Rabbit is a charitable organization aiming to bring happiness to children in need during the season of Easter. Our teen-led grassroots organization gathers supplies and gifts for young children to pack into wrapped beach pails that kids can enjoy in the summer. Last year Operation Jack Rabbit donated more than 1,000 Easter pails to nonprofits and children in need, a number that is growing every year. Our goals for the 15th year of OJR are to reach out and help more nonprofits, involve different communities, connect with more volunteers, and reach over 1,500 pails donated! OJR would not be successful without the support of our volunteers, families, friends, and businesses who are the backbone of Jack Rabbit. OJR is always looking for help assembling the Easter pails and spreading the word.
With your help and generous contributions we can bring smiles and happiness to as many children as possible!
How can I help?
One question we are asked often, "How can I get my kids involved with OJR." Explain to the child that you are "helping" out the Easter Bunny (just like Santa has Elves) and take them to the Dollar Store, Job Lot or Christmas Tree Shop and have them pick out something on the list: plastic eggs, chocolate eggs, Easter grass, Pezz, ring pops etc. Direct message us your child's name and address on our Facebook and we will drop a personalized note in the mail thanking them. The items can be mailed to the addresses listed in the donate tab.
